Hey Family,
Janice and I invited the Bountiful Police Department to come and stay with us this Labor Day weekend at the cabin. Three families took us up on the offer. Gary Koehn and his wife Tammy came up with us on Thursday. They brought their Jet ski's. Friday night Andrew Bryson and his son, Austin and daughter, McCall came up, Andrews wife and other son came up Saturday after his football game.
Friday and Saturday we enjoyed some fun on the water playing on the Jet Ski's. The water was fantastic Friday pretty calm with no wave action and little traffic. Saturday however the lake was choppy with three to four foot swells and lots of boaters on the lake.
Saturday evening Gary and Tammy had to leave as they both had to work on Sunday. Gary is a patrol Sgt. and Tammy is a dispatcher for the department. Kenneth Vowles and his family came up Saturday evening just after Gary and Tammy left.
When we got up Friday morning we noticed that the raft was missing. We found it on the east shore. It probably came loose during last weeks big storm. Today, Sunday the wind came up again and we watched it float away again to the east. We will go and retrieve it tomorrow after the wind and waves die down.We retrieved the raft only to have it get blown away Saturday afternoon. We waited for the storm to die down and went looking for it again Monday. Somebody had moved it (hid it) in the tall grass on the east shore maybe to keep us from finding it. But the Detective in me kept searching until we found it.
The cabin looks great the Ellis family did a fantastic job texturing and painting the hallway and bathroom. When you see Walt and the Ellis's make sure and thank them for the work they did on the bathroom. It is really nice.
Today Sunday we just spent a day reading and hanging out together. Kirk came up later today, he had to work yesterday and his best friend Brett got married Friday.
